I have an MA in history of art, and am passionate about the visual arts. They feed me with inspiration that comes from a source other than rational thinking. Space, colours, textures, shapes etc, are incredible sensual elements that can mix ideas and dreams together, reinventing our world.
I have developed a project for a series of books on Brazilian contemporary artists, but, after contacting some publishers and getting feedback like:”We really like your project, but don’t think it’s commercial”, the project is now on hold. I completed the text for the first book on Waltercio Caldas, and interviewed Ernesto Neto for a second book. I think it is a shame to have this material with me but unpublished, so I might try to get permission from the artists to post it in the blog. Unfortunately it is all in Portuguese!

I picked up a poem of mine by chance (translation below):
Flores brancas sobre a neve
e o que mais de imóvel
minhas lembranças
meu amor
meus projetos
minhas trilhas
teus rostos
e o que mais queiramos preservar
sob as neves eternas das montanhas
Porque de tudo precisaremos na eternidade
e a eternidade, meu bem
é na próxima quarta
White flowers on the snow
and what else of immobile
my memories
my love
my plans
my trails
your faces
and whatever more may we wish to preserve
under the eternal mountain snows
For all will we need in eternity
and eternity, honey
is next wednesday

Thanks for the poem, it’s beautiful. I knew it from when we went to Brussels.
I was actually thinking of having a page for poetry to put my only poem in English, which you helped me to translate.
I’m still trying to sort out this blog!
